Has anyone ever told you . . .
“Who do you think you are?”
“Don’t get a swelled head!”
“Remember where you came from.”
“Think you’re too good for us?”
“People like us don’t go to places like that.”
These are what we call “holdbacks” and this list could go on and on.
Every one of us—including you—has been subjected to some form of commandment to NOT break out beyond where you came from, to NOT leave your “station” in order to enjoy your best life and be truly fabulous.
So you get stuck hiding behind some of the masks we wear—we all wear—to play down who you are, living with chronic unconscious prohibition to success and fulfillment. So you become a pro at procrastination, perhaps making procrastination your signature style and complaint.
Whether it came from a demanding and controlling parent, a terrified and anxious teacher, an abusive coach, or any number of relatives, romantic partners, or so-called friends who didn’t know any better, the fear feeling happened anyway.
And what does that fear feeling lead to?
A smaller life than you know could be yours.
Perhaps you’re continually feeling negative about what you can do in your career, where or whether you can get specialized professional training, even who you can love.
The damage may have spread to your bank account, your health and fitness, and even how you dress and carry yourself in the world.
You might actually sense that you‘re caught up in some kind of unconscious resistance to success, to a larger life.
Well, listen up, because here’s the good news!.
No matter your age, no matter where you’re at, we assure you it’s never too late to identify that fear feeling, that unconscious resistance to being the best you can be actually—that you can truly dissolve what’s been holding you break through being an adult prisoner of childhood.
The fact is, your life is yours to design.
Yes, it is.
It always has been. But now you posses more awareness, more skill, more consciousness than you did when you were younger. That means you are truly free to design your life any way you want so you CAN enjoy living your best life.
That may, and probably will, feel like a betrayal of where you came from and what you’ve believed was true your whole life. And your freedom may come with some fearful challenges.
This is all what we call The Fear of Being Fabulous.
We want to offer a few tips to help support you in your willingness, your commitment to overcome The Fear of Being Fabulous.
